Colloidal Silicon Dioxide (Aerosil) is a fumed silica excipient widely used as a glidant, anti-caking agent, and adsorbent in pharmaceutical tablet and capsule formulations. Its high surface area and low bulk density make it highly effective at improving powder flow and preventing caking at low use levels (0.1–0.5%). Available in IP, BP, EP, and USP grades.
